Autoblog suggests it might be a Mongoose Motorsports Grand Sport, a modern replica. Link to "www.autoblog.com" http://www.mongoosems.com/index.php |

There's no way this is a real one. There's only about 5 around today, going for around $5 million each. It's a Mongoose replica. |

So a buddy of mine in Rogersville, Alabama made this vehicle. Here's shots of it at a local car show after the movie came out: Link to "newpics.huntsvillecarscene.com" His wife works at the local nuclear plant and drove it to work a couple of days when it was sunny, lol. Last I talked to him about it, someone in Japan bought the car about 1.5yr after the movie came out so who knows where it is now. It's definitely a cool car and a true driver. I've got some unpublished video of it coming out of its trailer for our Fast Five premiere event. I'll publish it sometime and post a link to the video here too. |

Apparently they used another '66 Stingray for some of the stunt scenes for this car, with that specific unit now in Japan (photo taken yesterday) |

Thank you for the pics of the car from Japan! I was wondering where it was just the other day since it's been a few years now. I can't believe that was the same car I walked around. I should have took a picture of myself in the driver's seat as my buddy wouldn't have minded. Kinda late now, lol. |
