That's not a Carmargue (very rare and distinctive-looking Rolls-Royce), it's a Corniche. |

It was a land-yacht. Recipe: [1] take one beautiful shape, perfected on the Fiat 130 coupe and stretch it out of all proportion [2] shove a brutal RR grille on the front [3] sell it to the gullible [4] (optional) paint it white and adorn with Ingoish puked-apricot vinyl roof and as much silly chrome and plating as you can find. No wonder it was rare.... |

Yes it is a bit of a weird looking car. But you never ever see them around so they must be pretty valuable still. I've never seen one in real life, not even at places like Goodwood Festival of Speed (where they have an area with one-offs, very limited-production cars and concept cars). -- Last edit: 2011-01-31 19:04:07 |

The Camargue may not be popular -but no RR is more beguiling, intruiging, mysterious or esoteric |

Actually impossible to recognize. Could be late I or II series coupe (1974-1977 or 1978+). Pity, we can't see the exhaust. |
