In UK, Tony Crook Motors was the importer in 50s-mid-60s (also the Zagato concessionaires and the owner of Bristol Cars). Late-60s and through 70s, it switched to Radbourne Racing. Quote "Factory-built Abarths are as good as non-existent in the UK and extremely rare even in Italy. Most ‘Abarths’ were fitted with Abarth tuning kits by .. Radbourne Racing in the UK. These kit-fitted cars have Fiat, not Abarth, chassis numbers." from Link to "www.classicandperformancecar.com" . Middle Barton Garage (pictured in link) is now the UK specialists for classic Abarths. So this is probably a 500F with Radbourne-fitted Abarth tuning kit, not an Abarth factory car - describe as 1972 Fiat 500F Abarth?? -- Last edit: 2011-03-05 15:13:12 |
