Hey, at last. I was waiting for this one to appear in a film! The full name is GMC DUKW-353 and it is based on the well known GMC CCKW-353. This one is a second generation (tilted windscreen) which started in June 1943. They were also produced by International and Studebaker and between 1942 and 45 a total of 21.247 vehicles, nicknamed 'The Duck', were built |

Rode on one in Boston last week. A real 1944 DUKW but repainted as a tour car. Road around Boston streets and then motored around in the Charles river for a while. What a blast. |
