Two of these are used most substantively in 1.01 though this image is from 1.02 as most 1.01 scenes are from the inside. 1.01 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 1.02 ![]() 1.03 ![]() -- Last edit: 2011-03-17 19:46:31 |

It's a different one with a similar plate, note that the front end is different (grille, bumper, mirrors etc) and is the style used on Transits from late 1991-late 1994. I think they used this type of Transit on The Bill at one point as well (prior to using the 1995-00 models with the same fake plate). |

Ah thanks I was getting confused and you are correct, /vehicle.php?id=126815, that has L002 LAM another Ambulance that appeared in different productions. I was so confused because L002 LAM is seen the 1995 ambulances but on Spooks it appears on a 1991 model? |

The plates are fakes that would have been issued in 2002 so too new for any sort of MK3 Transit, probably used so that the vehicles looked right for newish London ambulances, though in reality the biggest realism issue is that London never used MK3 Transit ambulances (they had LDVs then Sprinters).I'm guessing that when the prop company stopped using the (quite old) 91-94 models they just used the same fake plates on the 95-00s. I do note that other than the LO/LD starts which are correct for London area plates the last three letters are LAM (London Ambulance?) and LAS (London Ambulance Service?). I think the company had previously used LDV-type ambulances and before those Bedfords and with both of those there across IMCDB there are lots of weird inconsistencies to make old ambulances look newer like switched plates (often from newer, genuine London ambulances) and badges (can't find it just now but my personal favourite was a Bedford Ambulance with a Leyland DAF badge on it ![]() -- Last edit: 2020-08-30 14:10:05 |
