Would say that this is an Opel Rekord. Surly no Vauxhall Viscount. |

Hmm... But it obviously has a Hüftschwung under the triangle-window of the backdoor, which the A-Rekord doesn't have. Btw.: Though only the name stayed the same: @cresta1957 from annother Vauxhall-driver |

Dear Ingo. The frontend of this car is completly different in shape to a Vauxhall Viscount (I'm an owner of one of these very rare cars). Front end looks for me like Opel Rekord A and Hüftschwung is for me not really visible. But really difficult to say to 100%. |

I'm fairly sure it's a Vauxhall Cresta [PC] body - not totally convinced it's a Viscount, but maybe Cresta with black roof as wheeltrims are Cresta-ish. |

Just to add my opinion for what is a small slightly out of focus image. To me its 75% certain its a Viscount/Cresta with Vinyl roof. Only the colour looks less likely for a Viscount to me. Vauxhall did have a similar colour but not sure it was offered on a Viscount and only slightly more likely it was found on a Cresta (optional wheel trims and vinyl roof comments accepted). In more detail my assumed observations. Front end I'm uncertain - I accept cresta1957's comment and I cannot say it looks like a Viscount. Glass area and A, B and C pillars - PC/PCE yes. Coke bottle shape (Hüftschwung?) is right for a PC/PCE and is quite subtle. Wheel-arches match PC/PCE for me. Location - UK is much more likely for a Vauxhall product. Perhaps for this rather indistinct picture it should be only listed in the comments section for the movie? |
