Impossible to actually be in the film as its set before Tokyo Drift (2006) |

LFA, not LF-A... the name LF-A was only for the concept versions, while the production version is called LFA. |

Tokyo Drift was released in 2006, but the year is never said in the movie |

In Fast and Furious, Mia says to Brian "Thats what you have to say to me after 5 years?". The first movie was in 2001, so that means it has to be set in 2006. |

Only 500 made... |

That supposedly German highway does not look very genuine to me |

At least the car appears to be EU-spec, because the number plate at the back fits properly. |
◊ 2011-08-31 14:23 |
If they only made 500 of it, I doubt they made a different back for the US-specs versions |

It's definetely a faked Autobahn. It seems not even in Europe. Nothing is authentic. Worst faked are the signs on the first thumbnail. Plus the fact, that there, where anything arbitrary with "Rhein-Neckar" is, no sign to Berlin will be there. A few hundred kilometers far away. And there is no direct Autobahn between that area and Berlin. |

The road looks American to me. Standard white lane division paint with solid yellow paint for the left side. |

hey look its the lexus that cost $410,000 |
◊ 2011-11-02 01:55 |
Ridiculous price |

I wished the real Autobahns were as empty as this faked one. |

For that choose an early Sunday morning. Or tomorrow evening after 20:45 |

A good time for finding out the cars Top Speed. |

How about an answer to antp's rear license plate question. |
◊ 2012-09-28 23:36 |
That license plate looks a lot like a german license plate, judging by the vehicle inspection stickers (TÜV-Plakette). On the left hand side of the plate there's a dark blue region with a little white letter at the bottom. I can see that it's a single letter, but I can't make out which one. A german license plate would have a little "D" there. If it's supposed to be a german license plate, then they made a mistake by mixing letters and digits there. The sign reads "P 0P 52N" (that's a zero). German license plates consist of 1-3 letters for the area or town where the car is registered ("P" is for Potsdam), then one or two letters and finally a number with 1-4 digits. There are some exceptions, but none look like this. Actually, none of the regular EU license plates mix letters and digits this way, as far as I know. But apart from that, it looks like a real license plate. The letters and the spacing look right and they even got the above-mentioned vehicle inspection stickers. Also, the license plate in the front is missing. -- Last edit: 2012-09-28 23:57:20 |

Yes, it's supposed to be Germany (but filmed somewhere else). |

This was sold in 2011, therefore it is at least a 2011 model. |

Beautiful machine, awesome sound. |

Maybe she should've said "...after 10 years." That would mean that the film took place in 2011 (2 years after the year "Fast & Furious" came out, and the same year as "Fast Five"), because we've seen all these 2011 cars in the films, and a 2012 Dodge Charger in Fast & Furious 6, but I don't think it would've mattered when the two years pass by to 2011. But at least it would make the movies seem a little less anachronistic when watching them, if you know what I mean. -- Last edit: 2013-04-16 00:19:08 |

Made For USA? |
◊ 2022-06-20 10:17 |
Yes. Because the actual LFA was produced in Japan, and they had to modify it for USA roads. It's not like Lexus must be purely American from the get go. |
