Nice find! It's a 1949 only model (rounder roof, new indicator lights on the C-pillar, bumper overriders, and still the old taillight bar just above the license plate). Looks like metallic paint... |

Thanks! Do you have any pictures of 4CVs with that taillight bar? I'm searching google and flickr but only finding ones with lights on/near the fenders. |

Indeed not easy to find pictures of that... But we have one (slightly blurred) on this site: /vehicle_272661-Renault-4CV-1947.html And here's a pic of a 1949 model from rené Bellu's book "Les voitures françaises des années 50": And another pic of a Swiss 1949 version on an Esso roadmap of Switzerland (here the small centrally located taillights were not allowed, and the big plate could not be placed under the light bar.
