Just curiuos: Why Made for N?

Because of the name (Stasjonsvogn), I think.

In that case, 2/3 of the Norwegian cars would be 'Made for N' :wow:

Yes, with wagons which get a different name depending on the market that happens.

Wouldn't it me more intelligent to decide that, if the cars got an own trunk-badge for the specific market? To base that only on the text in the sales brochures is really ridicoulous.

Why only the trunk badge would be important for the name, and not the name used by the maker for selling the car?

Because our "made for ..." is related to the car, not to the sales brochures. As you have said by yourself: visible details are crusial (as the yellow French headlights, the US-bumpers, the Italian/norwegian side indicators and many more) - sales brochures are no visible detils of the cars.

"Made for" is for visible details or different names...

Does the German Mondeo Turnier MkI even have a badge that says 'Turnier'? From what I have seen, it only has two badges on the back (the Ford oval and 'Mondeo'). One more reason to use the name it was marketed under instead of the badging. Otherwise we would have to list them simply as 'Ford Mondeo' because the way they were badged.

All Mondeo´s, Focus and AFAIK Escort´s haven´t got a Turnier badge.

Anyway we do not use only badge names... (or else the Volkswagen New Beetle should be listed as just "VW", for example).
