Set in 1986, the plate is from 1971-1973, but the use of an euro-style plate is an anachronism (it can be the real car plate, remade recently, since in Belgium the front plate is made by the owner). |

For 1986 the Texaco-logo is anachronistic, too: /vehicle_405197-Citroen-XM.html |

Really ? It already existed in 1985 : http://homepage.mac.com/frank_de_jong/Pages/p%201985%20Zolder.html Or you meant the red-on-black livery ? |

Yes, I meant the livery. Sorry, but I'm not very familar with Texaco-related details, as this brand disappeared in Germany totally in the 70ies. Later on the got the historic brand-name DEA, a few years ago DEA disappeared, too and became ARAL. ARAL took over DEA and BP, too. The big gas stations, mainly with 24h-service. are ARAL now. The brand BP disappeared, too, AFAIK only 5 BP-stations are left in Germany. One is beside my office in Dortmund. For monopole-regulation-rules, ARAL had to give away some stations. They did it with the smaller, mainly older ones. The most of them were taken over by the Polish company Orlen. Only for a short time they were named Orlen, then changed to Star (same company, annother brand). Not really simple, the history of fuel companies... |

No wonder if the Texaco logo is anachronistic, this is a real petrol station. Half of the buildings is real but redecorated to a 1992 setting, half is fake set dressing. |
