nope..flat front end indicate truck,3 Ton 6x4,Fire Crash Tender ,Monitor (Foam) Fordson WOT1 from 1944!,was updated in 1945 with the addition of a hard cab. |

2491tj had it right, a 1945 Fordson WOT1/A1 Airfield crash tender - RAF 'Monitor Type' or possibly a 1944 Conversion Type by the tranverse tank not the longitudinal tank on the 'Weeton Type'. Main functional difference for the 'Monitor Type' is determined by what remains at the rear, it could be the base for the foam nozzle and control panel, otherwise the base of the extendable tower on the Convertion Type. Other details, open or closed cabs for example, are inconclusive based on the few photographs available. |
