Rover P6, Series I. The one in the background could be a Ford. |

The car in the background looks like a Cortina MkI. |

P6 is 2000 SC, possibly about 1969 from side trim. Agree Mk1 Cortina behind - an ordinary 4 door with a pimped stripe, not a Lotus. -- Last edit: 2011-08-10 01:43:01 |

See 1st thumb in /vehicle_423649-MG-B-ADO23-1964.html and registration AAV 818K on this Rover, which is (a) not on the check sites (b) a combination which Glass's says was never used (though AAV was used in Aberdeenshire) and (c) supposedly 71-72, so at least a year after this grille style was replaced. With the black rear pillars, this is probably still a 2000SC [P6], but Oct 71 onwards for the wing badge plate and with an earlier replacement grille. So 1972+ (and Mk2 if we use the designation), with a dodgy plate. -- Last edit: 2011-08-11 01:34:45 |

Same plate: /vehicle_142119-Rover-2000-TC-P6-1971.html but that car is blue, so common fake TV plate or was the car resprayed (when did the Met stop using blue area cars?) |
