This is a Zephyr V4 MK IV, not a V6 (despite what looks like a V6 badge). The front grill was altered between the V4 and the V6 Zephyrs. |

This is a picture of 1967 Zephyr 6 ULG114E with the same plain front panel.![]() I remember I believe the plain front panel was used for both V4 and V6 Zephyrs, and that later the grille was added to either both models or only the V6. Probably the V6 was the only version having the badging on the front where the lower cost V4 did not show any badging. -- Last edit: 2009-04-16 10:48:11 |

I own a 1970 V6 and it has the other grille and no V6 badge. I have not seen many V6 badges in this location, so it maybe a modification. |

V6 badge only appeared on early Z6 and was dropped by the Oct 68 addition of F O R D lettering. The only difference afterwards was chrome band on the bonnet intake, confirming this a 6. The plain panel was Standard version of both Z4 and Z6 from launch to end of production in late 72. The later (dummy) grille was Oct 67 additional Deluxe version on both Z4 and Z6, and again continued to production end. It does not demonstrate engine size. |
