I think that this is a bit big for a 14/40, and is more likely to be a 20/55 from 1926. |

Plate could be FE 9852 - 1927 Humber 14/40 - http://www.lvvs.org.uk/fe9852.htm . DVLA details for FE 9852 are: Date of Liability 01 06 2012 Date of First Registration 17 01 1928 Year of Manufacture 1928 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1670cc CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type PETROL Export Marker N Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour BLUE Vehicle Type Approval Not Available. -- Last edit: 2011-10-14 01:52:37 |

I found a pic of FE 9852 - http://www.lvvs.org.uk/fe9852.htm - note how its registration plate is mounted forward of the front crossmember. It a hell of a coincidence that if you cut the top off 9852 it could be 3052! -- Last edit: 2011-10-14 10:38:49 |

TR 3052 comes up on DVLA as Humber - details are: Date of Liability 01 01 2012 Date of First Registration 10 01 1927 Year of Manufacture 1927 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1701cc CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type PETROL Export Marker N Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour BLUE Vehicle Type Approval Not Available. Will try and trace a picture later unless anyone else picks it up. -- Last edit: 2011-10-14 14:52:51 |

Looks like it is a 14/40 whichever car it is. |

Can't add anything specific or trace other pics of TR 3052. But after extensive googling, it looks as if this closed saloon body is far more unusual on 12/25 and 14/40 than open tourer (full length convertible with side screens). Also neither 1670cc or 1701cc crop up as recorded engine sizes for these cars, so not sure what DVLA figures mean. |

The Humber 14/40 engine is 2050cc and the 12/25 is 1870cc. I am sure that in many cases the owners of cars have no idea of what the engine size is and the registration clerk can't be bothered looking it up. |
