Leyland or Ldv? |

LDV was post-1994. Could be a Freight-Rover too though. |

I tend to think this is an ex-Royal Mail van as its basically red with sliding cab doors, generally slam doors were more recently used. /vehicle_266046-Leyland-DAF-400-V400-1988.html A high-roofed Freight Rover 300 or Leyland DAF 400. edit: Looking at the rear panel there appear to be sign mounting clips used for detachable posters on Royal Mail vans as here... http://www.aronline.co.uk/images/lcvroyalmail_10.jpg -- Last edit: 2011-11-01 18:45:39 |

http://www.circusperformers.com/circusfudge and http://www.circusfudge.co.uk/ . There is a vehicles page, but no pictures there of an LDV. |

If it was the 1988 Leyland DAF 400 it would only be a maximum 4 years old. I'm guessing Royal Mail vans were disposed of about this time or later so Freight Rover is considerably more likely. |

This van has probably gone to the scrapyard long ago. -- Last edit: 2011-11-01 19:19:26 |

Maybe. Another user was Parcelforce (the parcels arm of Royal Mail); in 1999 I saw one of their castoffs in Skopje, Macedonia, with local plates but still in full Parcelforce livery. |
