I think Ford 10 cwt van [E83W] as /vehicle_213201-Ford-10-cwt-van-E83W.html . But it may be worth waiting to check the exact name - we have some under Fordson as well and maybe other weights. |

The E83W was in production from March 1938 until September 1957. It was introduced as a Fordson, and the name was changed to Thames in about 1949. At the same time, a "Ford Product" badge was added to the bonnet sides, and I think that this is just visible. It might be reasonable to say that it's a Ford, therefore, also bearing in mind the date of the programme as earlier models are less likely to have survived. There were no other weights, it was a 10 cwt. However, Ford offered 2 types of standard body, the van, and a steel bodied pickup, and also sold chassis cab only upon which were constructed many body types, from Luton and Gown vans to dustcarts. |

I don't recall that the E83W was ever marketed as Ford, only as john from Staffs says, Fordson until '49 and Thames afterwards, like its 400E replacement (and ET6s, Traders etc.) |

Name change from Fordson to Thames was in mid to late 1950 so after 1951 model year for all Thames E83W vans and pick-ups. |
