In this 1943 movie two examples are seen of the 52 Bedford OBs in the UK at the time I believe, and not with the wartime utility bodywork. The Bedford OB was introduced in the summer of 1939 but was... "to enjoy only a very short initial production run - with the advent of World War II, Bedford production was turned over to the war effort, with only 73 chassis built, 52 of which were sold in this country , which is why the pre-war OB was very rare." http://www.bedfordob.com/about/history.php |

IIRC some of the pre-war WTBs acquired the later OB grille, particularly those bodied by Duple. |

Rather late I know but a 1938 Bedford WTB is correct. WTB without the OB's visible radiator cap only a simple radiator mascot. |
