Driving along with the starting handle still in place is unexpected? |

The starting handle was probably fixed, diesel engines were by no means universal at this time, and the Dennis Lanova oil engine was not popular as it was unreliable and feeble. The bus was probably petrol and started by hand, the other Dennis also has a handle protruding from the front. At this time the BMMO was still operating its FEDD model, the earlier petrol engined version of which was not even fitted with a self-starter! -- Last edit: 2011-11-22 18:08:36 |

Plate possibly reads FAC 709 or BAC 709. |
