Guy Vixen? Surely this is more like a Thames 4D? Comments please. /vehicle_22706-Thames-4D.html |

Yes, it is a Thames 4D. (I saw this and meant to pick it up.) Maybe whoever labelled it (Alexander?) was misled by http://www.thisbrighton.co.uk/Images/hcvs-guy-bus.jpg which used the same metal round the front? |

Sure chris40, I remember the bus version now as well, thanks. Eastern Coachworks that built the buses must have had access to the Thames (Ford) owned tooling for the front end. -- Last edit: 2008-05-05 23:25:41 |

I don't remember what led me to my assumption, but probably it was the mentioned London Transport bus: http://www.countrybus.org.uk/GS/GS62/GS62.html |

Correction to the model name: Thames ET6 not '4D' The prominent '4D' badges referred to the diesel engined versions or Ford/Thames trucks. |
