Definetly an FG , it's a FG K100 , which was the 5 ton capacity biggest in the range ( the 100 part was the load in cwts) ,the longer bonnet was for the bigger 6cyl diesel engine. Morrris FM 420 was a special for the post office with a different shape longer bonnet to make as Sunbar says a 3 seat cab. brochure- Link to "www.freewebs.com" -- Last edit: 2011-12-01 11:12:17 |

Its a bewildering range , made under Austin, Morris , BMC , Leyland , Sava and Williemes badges ! then theres the model designations ! Under the Leyland badging 1970-81 the designation was linked to the gross weight so this turned into the FG 900 at 9 tonnes gross. -- Last edit: 2011-12-01 11:37:54 |

The FG 5-tonner K100 version was introduced at the time of the Scottish Motor Show in November, 1961, but which only went into full production during 1963. |
