Montego [LM11]. All UK MG Montegos had a boot mounted-spoiler and full width red plastic panel between the rear-lights plus a red stripe in the bumpers and door protectors. In the UK this would be an Austin version. Were the export Montegos different, just Austins re-badged as MG? -- Last edit: 2006-08-04 12:03:06 |

Sorry, Rinspeed the thumbnail picture of the front did not load for me before. I think for export to some countries the Montegos must have all been badged as 'MG' and not 'Austin'. - no problem |

Looks like a 1.6/2.0 HL or HLE with an MG grille. |

Feb 86 side indicators, no tints or shiny insets in side moulding, so not a high trim. Nothing exactly MG present. Chrome bumper cappings are confusing, Grille could be Jan 87 colour-coded, and it's not an MG badge. Before Nov 88 revised rear lights with flat covers. So 87-88 with trim which in UK terms would be plain or L, but may have been tweaked for F to explain bumper cappings. |
