Actually a 1936 Austin but first registered in 1938.

Originally built as a 12/4 Van then converted to a pick-up during WWII, subsequently the cab was extended at the back for added comfort and the canvas tilt added.

May be re-registered after its conversion as a pick up, could it be possible ?

The authorities discouraged the re registration of vehicles in UK until they realised that it could become a source of revenue. While it was possible it was infrequently done, and generally only on expensive cars belonging to the nobs. It would seem fairly unlikely to re register a van, unless the local authority insisted on it as they might have considered it a change requiring such when the van became a pickup.

Money was tight, it was the depression. It was only the government expenditure necessitated by WW2 that got things going.
