XS 400. -- Last edit: 2006-08-06 15:22:13 |

This bike and sidecar are now in Basildon, Essex. A friend of mine bought it at a charity auction, where the BBC sold off some of the shows props, I bought it from him a couple of years later. one day I will get it back on the road! |

My sister was going through some of our mums bits at the weekend when she found a newspaper cutting with a photo of my boss on the bike and me in the side car. I was a motorbike mechanic at the time. The production company phoned asking if we had a dirt bike they could chuck in the back of a bin lorry but we didn't, while on the phone they asked what they thought was the impossible question, they wanted a motorbike and sidecar that looked about 10 years old. We only bought the bike a few days before if I remember right. The thing was nasty to ride without any weight in the chair so when the production company came to collect it I put some concrete blocks in for them. |
