Another rare car. |

I think that's even rarer than an ordinary Rancho for the fabric roof. I've got a lurking glimmer there was a soft-top, but can't find UK info. |

"Then there was the Decouvrable, which was an open version of the Rancho. The top rear section of the car was replaced by a basic frame to which was fitted roll up fabric and flexi glaze screens to keep the rain out; in good weather these were rolled up out of the way to reveal an open Rancho. This model was only produced for a short time and is very rare today." - http://www.simcatalbotclub.org/rancho.htm . 1981my only - http://www.matra-passion.com/Site/Voitures/Voitures/Rancho/ranchoD.html . |

This is a quite late version, when they were already badged as Talbot-Matra (1981) |

"The Découvrable appeared in 1981, with canvas sides to create a more Jeep-like vehicle. Two colours were offered - green or brown. Seats were vinyl trimmed rather than the cloth used on the fully enclosed versions. No more than two hundred were built, most winding up on the Spanish Mediterranean coast and in the Greek islands." - http://www.allpar.com/cars/adopted/matra/rancho.html |
