^ Doesn't take a Sherlock to figure that out, now does it? ![]() 1979-80 (1978 had clear turn signals, 1981 had quad headlights and a different grille...) -- Last edit: 2012-02-27 20:56:06 |

Not quite, the base Fairmont had dual headlights in 1981, Farimont Futuras had the quads. The Futura coupe had quads the whole run. Only Futura models were available in 1982-83. |

![]() Well actually, I meant to write dual, but ended up writing quad instead. Silly me. -- Last edit: 2012-02-28 00:51:43 |

That's not what you're confused about. The Fairmont had two front ends in 1981, both the dual and quad headlights. I'm just commenting that you wrote the dual headlight-amber signal was 1979-80, and it's actually 1979-81. Quads only went on Futuras, which started as a Coupe, then the rest of the bodystyles starting in 1981. The base model was dropped in 1982, leaving only Futuras. (It's not you, it's Ford that is responsible for this madness!) -- Last edit: 2012-02-28 01:11:02 |
