Not quite, the base Fairmont had dual headlights in 1981, Farimont Futuras had the quads. The Futura coupe had quads the whole run. Only Futura models were available in 1982-83.

:D I meant quad as in having four headlights in total, but I probably should've written dual headlights in order to avoid confusion.

Well actually, I meant to write dual, but ended up writing quad instead. Silly me.

That's not what you're confused about. The Fairmont had two front ends in 1981, both the dual and quad headlights. I'm just commenting that you wrote the dual headlight-amber signal was 1979-80, and it's actually 1979-81. Quads only went on Futuras, which started as a Coupe, then the rest of the bodystyles starting in 1981. The base model was dropped in 1982, leaving only Futuras. (It's not you, it's Ford that is responsible for this madness!)
