The traffic-lights look a bit too new for a 30s-setting...

The traffic lights have at least been repainted with black and white striped poles, and the lampshades have also been extended.

Possibly RT3062, as http://www.countrybus.org/Essex2006/RT3062fES.jpg

The 'Blue Triangle' operator's name (from the 1980's!) almost certainly confirms it is RT 3062 (KXW 171)

@rjluna2: do you have known, that the design of traffic-light-symbols have been a real political issue in Germany? ;) No kidding: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ampelm%C3%A4nnchen
Sure, when I'm in the East, I ignore that :o Not only the /vehicle_380025-Wartburg-353W-1978.html

It was not only the lights, it was mainly the discussion about it. The East German reacted really sored, when also the traffic lights should have been changed to the West German versions. EVERYTHING from the DDR, every thing, every organisation, all social and economical systems, absolute everything was switched to the West German.
The former DDR-people said defiantly "We want to keep our 'Ampelmännchen' and the green arrow! You "Wessis" -for West Germans- have imposed everything on us! We want to keep something unique from our life" :o So for that reason these two items have survived the implosion of the DDR in 1990.

One of my plate-fellows was really happy, when he found lst week on a forest road somewhere in the East, a traffic sign from DDR-times, which is still hanging there.

It is good to know there are some old times in rural area that will not be change for decades :)

I am still seeing one old bus sign at the Dallas highway just outside Marietta, GA, USA as the Google Street view at Link to "maps.google.com" from time to time when I go visit my sister right next to another county line. :)
