According to the Terry V. Boyce's Chevy Super Sport 1961-1976 Revised, the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe and Convertible engines were listed for RPO-L34 and RPO-L78 for 402 CID engines and RPO-LS5 and RPO-LS6 for 454 CID engine. |

@rjluna2: My favourite one is the 454 ci engine, of course. 11,5:1 compression ratio, forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, 800 cfm four-barrel Holley carburetor, high lifting camshaft (forged steel, I suppose). The factory rating is 450 bhp (SAE gross), but it is supposed to be well over 500 bhp. |
