Matches the 1981-82 color "Cedar Green" http://mk1vw.info/paint2.php |

Given the wheels, full arch flares, and the interior, it is a 1985 Papyrus Green Cabriolet. Cedar Green has more yellow in it than the poor bullet-filled car pictured. |

Nope! It is in indeed a 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit. I've got the same car in the exact same color. Think it's so funny that I found this image! |

Is it the original car from the movie? |

Holey hell! I bet the hole thing is even more holey that it was 4 years ago. (say 5 times fast) -- Last edit: 2014-08-27 20:17:25 |

Nope! No holes in my car, luckily! Haha. Although, I do see what he means about the interior now. My cars interior is leather, so I think he may be correct about the year. However, they are the exact same color. |

Ah, I understand. Because you see, lately we've been getting tons of posts from people who claim they're owners of vehicles on the site, I thought you were one of them. |

This is a 1980 VW Rabbit Convertible, Karmann (L) or (S)Edition in Forrest Green. I know this because I used to own this exact car in college. Mine came with OEM Recaro sport seats. The only used this style dash for the first year than redesigned it. A red leather interior option was also available for this year as my neighbor growing up had this exact one also. They cost about $4400 back in 1980 with basic options. -- Last edit: 2016-03-19 01:34:48 |
