Interesting: the license plate indicates a van or truck from 1969. And indeed you can see tat the rear side windows are aftermarket adaptions on a van, and not those of the Turnier wagon. I couldn't find yet how these vans were called in Holland: maybe just Turnier as well, or Bestelwagen (= van). |

Were there tax advantages to buying a car officially classified as a van? |

Yes indeed, it was quite a difference in purchase tax. Also the road taxes were a bit lower for vans, but that difference wasn't very big (only when the car was rather heavy the difference could grow upto 30%) |
