Looks like it could be... |

This is for sure a Mk2 Consul/Zephyr/Zodiac, but a fairly early one, and not a 'Low Line'. That can be seen in the first thumbnail, as a late model should have had s/s window surrounds. I cannot see whether this is a Consul or a Zephyr/Zodiac as both models have the air intake beneath the windscreen wipers and nothing can be said about the groove in the hood. And the shot is to close to see if it's a long or a short bonnet. No model can be exluded as e.g. the clock for the Zodiac above the windscreen is hidden http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ford_Zodiac_206E_1959_tail.jpg . |

Now you know why I didn't try to identify it ... ![]() |

To clear it I suggest 56 Zephyr because of two-tone - not definitive, but more plausible. |

I didn't notice the darker roof... The only two models with originally different colour for the roof were the estate models (Farnhams) and Consul De Luxe. As this is no estate model (as far as I can see, to short space behind the rear seats) it should be a Consul De Luxe, a 1958 model, as in 1959 the 'Low Line' was introduced. The Zephyr and Zodiac, when having two colours, had the colour division at the side strip. |
