Behind the Corsica I see from left to right: Dodge Tradesman, Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, Oldsmobile Delta 88, Nissan Sentra, and Cadillac Seville. |

Although it's got a 2.8L engine with fuel injection, I don't think that's part of the model name. |

The Corsica was introduced in March 1987 as a 1988 model. It soon became one of the best selling cars in the USA and it was very popular among fleets and hire car agencies. Hence why this one is a driving school car. Think of the Chevy Malibu of its day. In fact, the Corsica was replaced by the Malibu in 1996. According to wikipedia: "The base Corsica's door handles were colored silver, while the Corsica LT/LTZ had black-colored handles". So this might answer Hecubus' question. Here you can see the moment the front windshield shatters and the "Corsica" badge on the dashboard. In this shot you can clearly see the "2.8 MultiportFI" badge. "Go for it Stephanie!" So she unleashes the power of the 2.8 V6. -- Last edit: 2010-05-21 21:47:04 (G-MANN) |

this is a very early Corsica. The wiper control on the dash is the original style and the seat belts are in the pillar as seen in the pic with her giving the finger. Starting 1-1-88 (according to sales brochures) belts switched to being door mounted. |

Like Hecubus said 2.8i is not part of the name. That badge just indicates what engine the car has. |

In this scene, the vehicle is commandeered by Frank with a student driver and her driving instructor onboard to chase a doctor who while under hypnosis had tried to kill Nordberg. -- Last edit: 2021-06-20 14:03:25 |
