The font on the registration plate looks like Arial. Real Hungarian plates use the same font as old West German ones. An odd mistake since the film was shot in Budapest. |

This is probably an S 600 Pullman W140. Was used only in this brief scene, no other shots: in the successive scene it becames the Lang W124! www.svart.ru/i/gallery/2004/31/1.jpg Mercedes did a factory made Pullman on base S 600 W140, like the famous old 600 W100 and, recently the W220. I always wondered why they never did a W116 or a W126 Pullman... -- Last edit: 2007-01-26 18:49:38 |

They did? I always thought W140s were only coachbuilt. -- Last edit: 2012-12-04 18:37:49 (G-MANN) |

Yes, they did: http://www.starsite.dk/W140_Pullman.htm Like W116 and W126, some W140 Stretched were not officially coachbuilted, but Mercedes made a Pullman version. -- Last edit: 2007-01-26 19:10:04 |

1995+ bumper. Pullman made 500 and 600 models as evidenced by the Shanghai government selling off 11 of their fleet in recent years. Link to "carnewschina.com" Edit: if this is even a pullman. -- Last edit: 2023-05-07 06:11:26 |
