The only "sensible" reason we invented model years was for only late year introductions in October-December of the prior calendar year due to the fiscal year structure. During the past 15-20 years, it has run amuck by now having extremely early model years for greedy purposes via extended first model years(ex. 2014 models going on sale NEXT MONTH????!!! ). -- Last edit: 2012-12-01 09:03:03
