Late 1992+ "KH II" (series 2) due to the body-coloured trim around the window frames. KH series I had black trim, but I guess Ford was cutting costs so they got rid of it with the series II. The hubcaps and painted bumpers also identify this as a KH rather than KF. As for trim level, unlike the hatchback, sedans only came in 2 trims: GL or Ghia. This one is a GL due to having the smaller 13" wheels, while Ghias had larger 14s. Remarkably, as of mid-2018, 10% (or 4200) of these KH Lasers are still registered in Australia, even though the newest are now 24 years old! By 2021 this had dropped to just ~2400. It's worth noting that KH sedans were extremely rare - only 1 in 10 sold was a sedan (equating to about 1500 sales a year). I'm unsure of why this is - as the ratio would increase to 50% in the subsequent KJ series Laser. -- Last edit: 2023-12-30 11:18:54 |
