Fake plate - genuine April 79 issue, but a few months before Mk5 launch in Sept 79 - and it looks home-cobbled. Also surprising that a proper police Cortina would have the luxuries of GL spec. |

The film was an Italian-Spanish co-production filmed partly in Spain. The number plates have Spanish-style characters. |

So a chance of Taunus TC3 pretending to be Cortina? I can't see if LHD or RHD - nothing clear for steering wheel, mirror or wiper clues. |

Was the Taunus also assembled in Spain? |

No, it was imported. Nevertheless, this body was assembled in Portugal (l.h.d.) and locally sold as Cortina, but with 1.3 and 1.6 engines only. |
