DX model for black door handles |

here there is no DX. SE is the base, LX is the mid-level and ES / 5 being the top ( if we don't consider MP3 and MazdaSpeed which were limited editions ) -- Last edit: 2015-12-28 01:04:12 |

And they appear to have the black door handles and bodyside trim as well. Link to "www.kijiji.ca" |

yes, same as DX... just that Mazda, like many other manufacturers, decided to complicate things ( unnecessarily, of couse, like so many changes between our markets.... ) by calling it SE instead of DX like the other generations... Is your DX coming with the 1.6 like our SE ? |

The 1.6L was from 1999-2001 on the DX and LX models, the 1999-2000 ES had a 1.8L. For 2001, the ES gained a 2.0L, which was optional on the LX. All models used that in 2002-2003. |

so many differences for almost same market... here 1999-2000 were DX, SE and LX. Both DX and SE sharing the 1.6L while the LX had the 1.8L . 2000 saw the apparition of a LX Touring ( with mags, sunroof, spoiler, etc.. ) . 2.0L was standard on LX/ES/5 for 2002-2003 ( have to check for 2001 but i don't remember seeing LX without a 2.0 decal ) and SE using the 1.6L for the same period. ES also had a GT option group that include ABS, sunroof, spoiler ,16-inch mags, AC and rear disc ( mine had all that.... missing it soooo much... ) . a similar group was also available for LX ( saw some LX that were , from the outside , exact replicas of my ES ) -- Last edit: 2015-12-28 07:23:08 |
