w108, this does not look like an SEL more specifically 300sel 6.3, though the truck in the small picture shows script on both sides that looks like 300sel on the left and 6.3 on the right, because the wheel trim are non alloy, there are no fog lights at the front, and the rear doors are a bit short, so it is probably a 250s, se or 280s, se automatic, interesting that this car has American headlights -- Last edit: 2013-06-16 05:03:37 |

I agree it doesn't look a l.w.b. car and by the visible details that include the badge on the right side of the bootlid, I would say it's a 1971MY+ 280 SE 3.5. |

Useful photo because it finally shows something I've had a hunch about for a long time but never been able to define - the 6.3 has a taller grille with additional mesh below the lowest bar - compare /vehicle_528049-Mercedes-Benz-300-SEL-63-W109-1971.html and perhaps less obviously /vehicle_487996-Mercedes-Benz-300-SEL-63-W109-1968.html . |
