Stromness main street from the pierhead fountain. The same view as this http://pics.imcdb.org/7478/mazda323.1.jpg from 1995 and this today. 1950 plate (or earlier ex-military lorry??) and is it an AEC grille?? |

From the shape of the cab I'd suggest an early Guy Otter. The AEC-like radiator was IIRC soon replaced. |

I would suggest that this is more likely to be pre-WW2, and a Wolf, if it has single rear wheels. http://www.historywebsite.co.uk/Museum/Transport/commercial/Guy/guyhistory4.htm -- Last edit: 2013-06-22 13:37:23 |

I think it has twin rears, albeit rather skinny ones ... Vixen, maybe? |

Vixen looks about right, I used to get stuck behind a late 1930s Vixen coal lorry on my way to work, it never seemed to go faster than about 20mph! |

1934-1939 Vixen but this radiator dates from about 1935. -- Last edit: 2016-06-15 17:08:07 |
