Looks like 1974/75 version by the extended bumper. I can't tell if this is just Sedan or Super Beetle from here |

Looks like the roof is too low in front for a Super Beetle windscreen. Filmed in US, sold as 'VW Beetle' (along with the 'Super Beetle')? |

I would say it has just one exhaust pipe, so it's a 1975 model. |

Then, the Super Beetle was dropped after 1974 model year run. So, in that case, I would say that is Sedan 'Beetle'. |

Are you sure there were no 1975 Super Beetles sold in US? And in that case, why not? |

With this feature we list it as 1976 MY. |

The Super Beetle body lives on with convertibles. The sales on the 'Beetle' was declining due to these Japanese import which was cheaper than the German's rising Deutsche Mark that was sold in our market. -- Last edit: 2013-06-26 13:57:27 |
