The main picture is not a 'TK' but a Bedford 'KM' recognised by the double bumper arrangment between which there are protruding (double) headlights. First one I think on IMCDb. ![]() http://ccmv.fotopic.net/p33584147.html (The white truck in ep 1.06 is still a TK and has been given its own listing.) -- Last edit: 2006-11-02 11:06:51 |

No problem stronghold. Hope you don't mind, I've been looking for a 'KM' for sometime now. A bit 'sad' I know. ![]() Sorry that your Dad cannot discuss his experiences anymore. As a teenager on the weekends I drove for a car/truck delivery company that worked for Vauxhall/Bedford and the 'TK' always impressed me how easy to drive it was compared to other trucks. The bus chassis were fun also. Even in those days it was normal to call them trucks rather than lorries, it was an old term even then. -- Last edit: 2006-11-02 15:24:59 |

Bedford KM introduced at the September 1966 Commercial Motor Show following UK regulations for chassis 'plating' which controlled or eliminated the practice of hauliers running medium weight trucks like the TK at or above their total gross weights. -- Last edit: 2014-03-30 13:26:05 |
