Delage D6-70 by Letourneur et Marchand, 1947. Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" |

It's very possibly a Delage but may I turn your ttention to the fact that the film was made in 1939? |

Well, the one in the link was from 1947, but possibly L & M built them before the war ... [edit] here's a 1936 one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/anhn_hehn/4452961499/ |

C'est sans aucun doute une Delage. Reste à trouver le modèle. |

It's strange: here the car is given two names, D6-60 and D6-70. |

So it is. I suggest we default to D6-60, 1936+, as I can't see us getting any closer, but it's your post. (Frankly I think we've done better than I expected.) |

Naaah, it's not 'my' post. I mean, I have no power to rename it, and no power to decree "car, thy name shall be…" This default name is alright with me, but it could restrain people to notice that the car is not really known, don't you think? |

I think it will be difficult to find out the exact date and engine power. For 1939 alone I found three different shapes of the side of the bonnet, and the model was available as D6-65, D6-70, D6-75 and (with a Delahaye-engine) as D6-80. Best known as Coach Panoramique, its official name was Conduite Intérieure Sport, indeed by Letourneur & Marchand. |

… Et elle est belle, hein ? L'actrice associée à cette voiture est la charmante Betty Stockfeld, une Australienne qu a tourné dans quelque bons films français (je pense à "Édouard et Caroline", en particulier). |
