johnfromstaffs ◊ 2019-07-03 16:33	👍 One has to hand a certain grudging respect to Rootes, they extracted 11 years of sales and many, many variants out of that Audax bodyshell, which must have made them a few quid over its total sales. All of this without ever producing a car which would make you race to the agent, panting with desire to buy one. About the closest they got was with the last Audax Rapiers, which did manage that little bit of exclusivity, without falling into that trap of becoming a flash boy’s wheels, like the Capri did. Guess what I had two of!
