I can guarantee this is NOT a 1986 model. The fiberglass bumper makes it either a 1987 or newer model. |

1986 was probably chosen with these new headlamps. For 1987 the bumpers had not changed much from 1986, unless a Wolfsburg Edititon From 1988 the 'integrated' plastic bumpers were standard So, do you want to list as a 1987 Vanagon Wolfsburg Edition then? |

Well, I already knew these headlamps were introduced in 1986, but I'm pretty sure these particular bumpers were ideed introduced in 1987. So yes, feel free to list it as a 1987 Wolfsburg Edition. |

I got that but just to explain to you that the admin who once set the date didn't seem to notice the bumpers.... Yes, on models like this Vanagon WE (US) or the Caravelle Carat. Lower spec models seem to have the new bumpers 1988 |
