Hi! Some corrections. The Pontiac is Frank's car so I think it should've had more stars. It has a Phoenix on its hood. The phoenix is an Egyptian mythological bird that consumes itself by fire and resurrects from the dead. It symbolises Donnie's resurrection (I guess...) And you missed a Volkswagen Rabbit! As Gretchen waits for the school bus, a Volkswagen Rabbit vehicle quickly passes in front of her. It is great, because a main character in the movie is a rabbit. |

From the Goofs section of the IMDB page for Donnie Darko: "Anachronisms: The movie is set in 1988, but vehicles have late-'90s-style license plates." -- Last edit: 2008-07-11 16:21:27 |

In one scene Donnie and Gretchen go to a cinema to see The Evil Dead and the Oldsmobile from that film is seen (the one that appears in most of Sam Raimi's films). Should I list this? -- Last edit: 2008-07-11 16:31:48 |

For vehicles from another movie seen on tv/theatre, I usually list these in comments only |

HD upgrade complete. Please note: all time references are for the bluray standard edition (not the longer director's cut), except where otherwise stated. -- Last edit: 2015-12-07 07:17:31 |

Frank's Pontiac really deserves three stars, as it is actually appearing in at least two scenes (it is also passing Donny in the beginning). |
