It looks like some sort of Eastern European car to me lol. Kind of resembles a Yugo. |

Designed by Giugiaro as a modern day "peasant car" - a cheap, basic, no-frills utility vehicle in the spirit of the 2CV and Renault 4, and apparently the design he was proudest of in his long career. I liked them - if you're realistic about what you could expect it to do or not do, it was an excellent design. |

Time to time I drove sister's '91 750 with soft roof and named it 'Tomato Case'. ![]() It was excellent sample of basic motoring. Amazingly handy for city 'goarounding' because outstanding visibility, good brakes easy applied without much force (with no booster!) and suprisingly brisky engine sounding like (I-wonna-be!) Alfa Romeo. It behaved like many the oldest FWD cars, teaching do not accelerate when turning because rising-to-heavy forces on steering wheel. On the other side, it was torture tool on extraurban driving. Annoyingly loud over 80 km/h, affected by side winds & heavy understeering, with iritating position behind (too horizontal) wheel and accelerator pedal's kinematic (specially designed for ladies plus 4" heels, I suppose). Generally it was cute and fun tin and I liked it. ![]() |
