Early basic Deluxe. Any local assembly? |

I don't think, but the very few sold here weren't badged as Victor, just 1800 or (even rarer) 2300. This one, being a taxi, must be powered by a Perkins Diesel engine - as also the majority of those sold here and not used as taxis. So I would say it's a 1800 with a Perkins Diesel engine. |

I found this period Portuguese sales brochure where the names of these models are seen. The front wings'Victor script was locally replaced by a Vauxhall's griffin badge. Curiously the Estate was sold as Caravan.![]() ![]() ![]() |

My incomplete run of World Car Catalogue editions say Portugal assembly was: 1967 - Victor, Viva 1969 - Victor, Viva 1971 - Victor, Viva 1975 - Victor, Viva 1976 onwards - Portugal assembly continued, but no info on models. So I think this could well have been made-in-P. |
