This scene was the reenactment of the Great Train Robbery Crew arriving at Leatherslade Farm in Brill on the 6th August 1963. The original plan was that the crew was to do the robbery and stay there just until after the heat had died down, but had to move quickly when they heard over the radio that the police had started to look at farmhouses within a range of 30 miles of the scene of the robbery. The gang then repainted the lorry from army green to yellow. The police later discovered their farmhouse littered with the evidence of their involvement since an associate of the gang had failed to turn up to clean up the farmhouse. -- Last edit: 2020-05-31 12:15:36 |
