Funny that they modified the front of the newer one to make it look older. Usually they do the opposite (i.e. modify the one they crash to make it look newer) |

But as I said they usually do the opposite: they make the old one look newer. What's the point of making a new car looking older? They could simply use the old one for the whole scene... Except if it was not running, but that still does not explain why they didn't paint the front of the old one in red. Or maybe they made the crash before doing the other scenes, and had no other choice when they realized that the cars were different. |

it is not a modify. these front lights are for the models Turkish (OYAK) made (1992-1994) Renault 11 TXE which is named "Flash S" and Renault 9 1600cc which is named "Fairway" |

It was also used on French R11/R9, but this one is modified because painted in black. |

The newer R9 is a phase 2 1987-88 GTX or TXE with bigger headlights. For Europe: Only in Spain R9/11's are build with chrome strips around side windows and this type of side molding. It's strange why they used both models mixed. -- Last edit: 2009-09-03 02:18:51 |
