That conversion is a Herbert Lomas of Handforth, Wilmslow. The tailgate was useful for sheltering patients in the rain! |

The vehicle in the main picture has two side opening rear doors (one large central and a slimmer one to the left, see the hinge by the coppers head). The 3 photos posted by stronghold show a vehicle with one central rear door which moves up and down. Therefore different vehicles. -- Last edit: 2008-12-04 01:35:57 |

I cant speak for the Ambulance in the main picture, but the Transit shown in the smaller pictures was owned by St John Ambulance prior to them getting the V6 model shown in another picture. It had a V4 engine and was, as far as I know, exported to Cyprus. |

Correction. The left small picture shows the V4, the other 2 are of the V6. If you look closely, the registration number SJA 374 with an appropriate suffix can be seen on several film shots of the V6. |
