LLA 331 is a weird plate. LLA 401 to LLA 999 were a normal London issue April 50 - Dec 51, but LLA 1 to LLA 400 has comment "remainder issued to Local Authority" with no dates given for when they were used (nor explanation for the split - perhaps LLA was symbolic for London Local Authority?). So this LLA 331 could be genuine for a 57+ vehicle. |

Early Wandsworth ambulances as follows... Mk.I prototype registered LLA 230 and 231 were from late 1956 to mid-1957. Mk.II prototype registered LLA 240 and 241 were from late 1958 to mid-1959. Mk.III introduced before 1964 LLA 331 is probably from about 1960 or later and is shown as a Mk.II by the side-lights and turn signals under the headlights.
